Sorry Colin, I re-measured (should've done it more than once Embarassed )
I come up with 39 cm total length.

Had to take some time off from my project, furnace went out, and that's not a good thing to have happen when in Michigan. In December.

But I did make some progress on building some sort of model u ...

Colin,

All good points, but I have to disagree about the arm placement. To me it just doesn't work as showing the angle of the head resting in the trench, seems all wrong for that. And the lines ...

Colin,

I had studied those prints from PropShop, and to be perfectly honest I didn't have a lot of faith in them. To me they appear to be more or less just sketches, and don't seem to have been dr ...

Colin, looking at Tom's pics of the V.K. building and Fred's Propstore blueprints...and, if we agree on the size of the buttons (bottom right hand side, facing the machine) which are 19 mm each.
Then ...

I think you did over-react, and perhaps misunderstood. What you may have perceived as negative comments were, I think, suggestions for improvement.

People here are rather obsessive, and ...

One thin that I find interesting is that they allegedly built the VK machine in three days. And look who long it has taken today to figure out how to do it.

Beautiful 3-D models you've got there Hellnback.

As for the V.K.: there's only a hand full of people obsessed by that prop (the first one done by Mike Fink, Mark Stetson and Co.)

Then there's an ...
