The Video phone seen in Deckard's apartment
was this a real item or built prop? I'm guessing built.
I've searched video phone's and the closest I could get to the 80's was the Mitsubishi/Atari/Ataritel Luma Phone which is not the one in the film.
sorry for the bad captures - I didn't grab them from my HD set.
Any clues?

I think it may be made from some found parts put together. They seem to be all over the place in the movie, and in numbers. I think the main body may be a slide viewer and the handset maybe from a kids game that I cannot remember the name of. I have yet to see any good pics of the camera, but I love the concept that everybody basicly has a camera(s) installed in their home that if controlled by an outside force could be used to spy on you without your knowing.

I think the handset is an early model cordless phone, just instead of being racked in the base with the keypad down, its face up. I remember seeing that hand set a lot back then. Its possible they just dressed the handset base with a small monitor screen and a few other objects. _________________
