Hiya. I think I've been a member here for a while, just never had anything worthy to post. Like most, the new dvd's have renewed my interest in all things Blade Runner and I'm starting to build up my small collection. I've still got Rick's first blaster unbuilt in the box that I picked up from him at a Chiller convention many moons ago. I don't know that I'll build it now, it's kind of like a collector's item to me. loL! However, I think I'm about to get my feet wet with a Worldcon...

Yep, 'nother new member. I've been collecting props and costuming for about 6 years now. I recently got my first Blade Runner prop, the blaster/pistol (not sure what you call it on here), which has prompted me to start the whole suit. I have the tie from Indy Magnoli, found some shoes and several leads on some pants. I also ordered the trench from Rachel and I can't wait to get it.

A little about me: I'm in the Army currently stationed in Kansas (ugh). I've been in for 17 years now, so one more assignment and it's retirement for me.

I've been lurking for a while, so I figured it was tiime to join.

Hey guys,
My name is Brenton. I go by RelicMaker on the RPF, PropCircle, and now here. I've been into props and prop replicating for a long time now, and I've been a member here for a while, but haven't visited or posted in a while. My collecting mainly consists of prop artifacts and treasures, from movies like Indiana Jones, Tomb Raider, The Mummy, Conan, Etc.

You can visit my website here! www.propandartifact.com

My interest in Blade Runner has always been solid, but just haven't had the time or money to start collecting the needed props from this movie. Of course, I want to start off with the Blaster. So, I had to wait for the right time to have the funds available to get that awesome piece of memorabilia. I definitely want to get the metal kit to build and finish my own, and maybe get a second to fabricate and customize into something totally different like Rick Ross has done.
I already know a few of you guys from the RPF, and recognize a few more who have bought props from me as well.
So, I hope to get to know you other guys pretty well and contribute as much as I can!

Best,
Brenton

Hi everyone, I'm new on this site. Like all of you I'm a fan of BR. I was like 10 yrs old when it was first released. Been through the versions. Aside from BR gun kit collecting, I also collect other toy guns from the various SCI-FI movies. Sci-Fi is in my Blood. Razz

Hi all...Joberg here, a newbie. Belgian from birth and education, living in Canada (Ottawa) for 27 years. My father made movies in Brussels(amateur)since 1947 and my taste for props and movies in general stems from him. I built a spinner (posted on Bladezone)and I'm trying to complete many project related to BR.

Great to be in the company of such great fans!

Hey all,

I'm Jacob, I post under the same screen name at Proptopia and A.S.A.P. and I'm "EctoDeath" at GBfans.com

I'm 23, got a wife and kid on the way. We're all big Ghostbusters fans, but since I've gotten to build the props from that film and do the whole GB thing for the past 7 years, I figured it was time to finally make the leap to the other half of my screen name and start building and collecting Blade Runner stuff. Lookin' forward to getting to know everyone and learning all that I can about Blade Runner props and prop making. Very Happy

Hi, my name is Josh.

I have been lurking a while, off and on, but finally wanted to jump in.

I just finished my first resin kit blaster, which I bought off eBay from the Australian seller. I added some heavy modification, but it turned out pretty well I think. I am still debating whether or not I should replace the large screw on the right side with one I made that matches the actual prop. This is the first resin kit of anything I have attempted, and it was a lot of fun.

Now I am worried I have caught a bug, because I have plans to make (and POSSIBLY make available here, if I decide to use molds) a "prop accurate" handle mod for a certain prolific blade runner style umbrella. I have already modified the one I own by painting the shaft black near the top where the original prop doesn't light up.

Also I am in the market for cash, cards and such to put in a Deckard wallet, but I am not interested in a wallet, since I am a vegetarian, I am going to be hunting on my own for a non-leather version somewhere.

Anyway, you can see my blaster progress here: http://trappedstateside.blogspot.com

If it is not cool to link to other sites I apologize in advance!

Cheers!
