Dont think we are on the same page here, In another thread, you mention to Racheal that this style of Deckard shirt is your favorite, i was simply suggesting that her shirt, which i have on order, might be a good substitute.
My other posts on this thread are directed to everyone as a contribution
to the thread itself, simply pointing out that the stitching might be there.
I have no opinion either way on the process of how this shirt was made or who did or didnt have anything to do with it.
I liked the shirt, I ordered the shirt.

Sorry Offworld I was refering to Repdetect here...

repdetect wrote:
I talked to him yesterday and he told me he didn't have time to fix the problem and perhabs would do something if someone would do a dye-test of the new pattern...i guess it would quite easily be done with a photoshop program or something, there are talented guys down here ! and not a big work (even if i'm not a specialist ).
After that we could get the dye-test done by a professional maker...
As for the shirt itself, i noticed that on the screen used one the stritching was perfectly seen which is not on Andy's, the stritching is exactly the same color that the rose oval motives on Ford's shirt...the crossed lines, too sharp, unfortunately are the principal mistake on the general look of Andy's shirt imho.
Has Andy said, i think we all trusted Magnoli's professionalism and we were wrong on this, those kind of project, i mean doing BR props, are labor of love and the BR fan is very exacting Smile however i didn't know Andy tryed to work closely with him with no final result.. Sad
But for the manufacturer it's always a matter of business requirement and technical problem...If only Abbyshot would have agreed to change their trench color, and modify a bit the collar it would have been the perfect BR trench but i think that after a lot of modifications and a v1 of the coat they had at a point their product to be release !

I'm not sure why this whole thread isn't in the Costume Section...it's a bit confusing.
Any way, thought you guy's would want to see this. The first pics of Rachael's newest BR Creation.
The buttons aren't on this yet but even so I gotta say...My Interest in Blade-Runner has kinda wound down a little after the Bottle project's completion, but this shirt has me reaching for my CIBI Glass and the J.W. all over again...WOW! This shirt never impressed me in the movie, Rachael's Shirt however brings back the old tingle I got when I first saw BR:

Check it out at www.funksimile.com

More pics soon!

though looks like it differs pattern and colour-wise. was that intentional?

There are differences, which are more inevitable than intentional. As far as the pattern goes, since it's no longer the 80's the fabric just doesn't exist anymore. This is the exact same problem that the black shirt presented. Instead, I purchased 4 different fabrics and created the stripes by piecing. Because of this, it just wasn't possible to recreate the pattern exactly.

With the color, I have about a dozen pics of the original shirt, some screen caps and some of the original from the auction. The original is brighter and looks very close to the fabrics I used. In the screen caps, the shirt appears to be denim or chambray colored.

I was really just mocking up a pattern with this one, and it's the same shirt whether the bright or muted colors are used.

There arent enough O`s in smooth to cover this shirt, i love it, its instantly recognisable to all of us and and sits with my taste enough
to wear out and about, very nice Meg.

Its always gonna be the 80`s baby.
Heres an example of how difficult it is to try and gauge the correct colours
of BR costumes.............

No doubt! It's the same thing when you take a BR Trench Coat out into the day-light...I have always said:
"It was never seen in the day-light."
Stark light makes it look like a completely different coat.
I'm so down with this shirt it's not even funny.
Those of you who have purchased articles of clothing from Rachael know that to own them is to love them, the quality and craftsmanship are that good!
