I wasn't really satisfied with the original paint and finish I did to my stunt blaster, so I stripped the paint and rub n' buff, then I hit the whole thing with a fresh coat of ultra flat black, and gave the grips a serious polishing. The general purpose polish I used left a nice bit of white residue in the checkering without totally clogging it. I left the bulldog frame black instead of silver because the casting under the grips is really messy and I didn't want to draw attention to it through the grips.

I still have to work out the LED wiring though, that's giving me trouble. I decided to just make it a generic patrolman's issue version rather than trying to duplicate the worldcon. Looks much better than it did previously.

Very cool, wanted to get some black grips off Sid as he must have had a stack left over, too bad, it would be a shame to paint the standards.

I was half tempted to paint the grips black I have to admit, but after all the polishing it seemed a shame. Maybe one of these days I'll sculpt up a set and see about casting them in some kind of hard black rubber.

From the stunt guns I saw that surfaced right after the shoot wrapped, I'd have to say you did an amazing job on this one-- most were pretty rough. Very nice work!

I believe this is a Rich Coyle "Stunt", or the simple kit he was selling a little while back. Not a casting from one of the screen used stunts. Though it does look like the buttplate is updated from what I have.

Yeah its a Coyle stunt casting. It came with the blaster as one solid piece, with just the triggers, grips, trigger guard, and the magazine as separate pieces. Its still a pretty rough casting though in some spots. I think he was trying for the look of the actual stunt a casting as it took forever and a day to sand down the big ass parting line on the top of the steyr receiver.

The buttplate was definitely updated to the worldcon specs, because the one on my V.3 C&S is still the flat one. I think the stunt gun is cast off his V.3.

Very "worldcon" curves to that buttplate. Nobody got that right until well afterwards. Prior to WC all buttplates were straight-sided slabs.

Well I think he'd been working on the worldcon version for a few months before I bought that stunt from him, I think the buttplate was part of his rework on the worldcon model.
