|
|
How do you attach the Steyr safety switch to the body of the steyr body of the Sidkit Worldcon Blaster?
I recently was able to finally obtain a kit and the switch is not preassembled on there, and it doesn't show how to install it on the build instructions.
Does anybody know how to install the Steyr safety switch correctly?

CA glue will hold it down. Or you can drill into it but that is risky. |

I am currently building one too and am committed to not gluing a single part... I have been grinding out cast screws to replace with real ones but I can't justify replacing the tiny one that is part of the safety switch. my plan is to drill. just a tiny hole through the steyr body then a corresponding hole on the switch and fasten it all with a small screw not unlike the ones that hold the laser sight in place from behind.
I tried a similar technique to hold the barrel in place by grinding out a hole straight down from the top of the bulldog frame in to the cavity that holds the barrel plug in place. Then installed a grub screw just like the one in the top of the steyr body, and it holds quite nicely. _________________ I just do eyes. |

I think I used JB Weld to glue mine. Not worth the effort dinking around with that tiny screw. |

I think a small cap screw works a lot better than glue, and is really no trouble at all to use as long as you have hex key/allen wrenches anyway.
