The flash is washing out the details, but here's a couple of teasers. Will try to get some shots in natural light tomorrow.

That's the Morpheous 13 build that I referred to earlier in the thread. I believe TH Studios based his replica on that one. |

Your prototype looks REALLY cool! This will be good.
I always wondered how Morpheus 13 nailed the arm & camera eye so well.
Or what kits he used for a starting point. _________________ My Karma ran over my Dogma. |

great start Birdie! I think this could work best as a vacform kit. That would make shipping costs easier and would be more friendly to work with than resin. obviousely there would be resin/metal parts to the kit.
If I can fit the time I might have a crack at making a virtual 3d model based on all the source material, which might help the build process. _________________ "F*ck it, it's just a movie. Let him worry about it" Harrison Ford |

I'll be moulding my prototype next week (hopefully).
I'll certainly be casting my own VK shell from fibreglass.
I've already made my viewpoint on vac-forms clear, and I don't have the equipment anyway.
I'm currently only working part-time, so I should have the spare time to make fibre-glass shells for those who want them. We'll see how it turns out. |

Sorry for not updating guys, managed to get locked out of the forum when my old email account went kaboom.
Thanks to Andy and Tom for sorting that out
Unfortunateley the British winter has been staying my hand on getting the molding done.
A fan-heater in my garage is just not cutting it for getting a good pull. As soon as the weather breaks I'll be pouring the silicone.
I'll post back here as soon as I have anything to report. |

Just wanted to let you know that I'm still in the game. The set of imaging CDRs sent to me from Oz were not in the envelope. Homeland Security? We're going to try again.
I'm still planning to build some motion lenticulars for this...

Third times the charm, this one is registered and marked "Two CD`s of
medical procedures". The post office babe told me not to tape the package up as it will only provoke them. _________________ Formerly offworld66 |
