Gaff87,
That third photo (down) that you posted...
(That I'll call "4 Roys, 3 Zhoras, 3 Rachael and a Pair of Pris'")
Can anyone tell me What, Where & When of this photo?
I'd be curious to know.
Much thanks in advance to any of you "Knower of Things" who are about to type out an answer to my question!

I had another look on Flickr and found a few more shots of them.
One of them has "Comic-Con 2007" in it's description and another is in an album called "San Diego Comic Con 2007"
Hope that helps |

Thanks, man.

There were a bunch of those photos on the official website bladerunnerthemovie.com, but they all seem to be gone now.

Yeah, I'm figuring that the Studio probably hired (and dressed) a bunch of actor's to mingle in the crowd in order to create awareness and "buzz" for the DVD release of the Final Cut...
(After all, each "Zhora" is wearing the exact same wig and all the Batty's have the EXACT same jacket! I didn't think it looked like your average ComiCon Costume Contest, THAT's for sure!) |

That is exactly right. You could also get you picture taken with them and download afterwards. not sure if there was a charge, but MsGeek had it done and posted her pics here somewhere.

Cool.
Thanks for confirming that. Andy.
(Gotta say, though... If I'd been running that show, I would've insisted they also have at least one guy as Holden in his "Iron Lung" and "Zig-Zag Oragami Chamber Suit".)
Just THINK of it!
Someone - a "handler" - could roll him around and people would pay 10 bucks (or so) a pop for a photo with him!
(I know I would... And who could resist saying "Whatcha reading?"...
'Cept, of course, the plexiglass would probably have had a little sticker on it that said "NO TAPPING")
But STILL, who can help but think "What an opportunity MISSED!"
: ) |

I'm kind of surprised nobody's taken a shot at the Batty trench. _________________

I was sure I saw a few posts from some folks here (unless it was at FILMJACKETS.com) saying that they'd like to get a Batty Jacket... but I've never heard (read) about anyone following up on it.
Makes a guy wonder what the studio did with the jackets all those "Roy's" were wearing at that Convention, huh?
I mean, I realize that there weren't likely the highest of quality... STILL, they's be a good template to build - or design - upon. _________________ Memories... You're talking about memories... |

its here alright Mitch! i know Deck's trench (all of his clothes for that matter) is still front and center, but i am sooo patiently waiting for the Batty trench. it seems we all have our favorite and after Deck, Gaff remains quite a fascination. for me its definitely Batty - Hauer's finest moment. if you get a lead on the Warner Brothers trenches ... let me know! _________________ two legs bad, four legs good. |

I agree... I really prefer Batty's "rock icon" clothes, way much coller than Deckard's brown clerk uniform... (sorry Deck guys)
I just wish someone would at least recreate this black leather coat one of these days... Let's cross our replicant fingers !

Yeah, sorry SKIN JOB 66... to each his own and all that... but I'm gonna have to go with Gaff87 on this:
For me, it's Deckard, Gaff and then Batty in that order.
Deckard's got gumshoe down-to-earth appeal that works for me and Gaff is just TOO Stylin' to put anywhere but in a close second spot (In My Opinion, anyway).
No disrespect to your boy Batty, though... when it comes to sleek, shiny, black leather/vinyl (with cables!) future chic... Roy's still Ca-RAZY with KILLER Fashion Sense!
No hard feelings?

Another coat i'd like to see that often gets overlooked is J.F's.
I know it's kinda weird lookin' but would be cool to see some try it. |

No hard feeling at all... it's just that I'll always prefer to be on the side of the misfits rather than the bureaucrats, know what I mean ? (at least, I hope so now that I'm getting older and older).
Fuck forever ! (Oh, well...)
