While upgrading my Sidkit I tried puting an 8mm LED in the underside of the cover plate instead of a 5mm and comparing to Karl's photos I'm finding it hard to decide...
5mm or 8mm.
See, I bought some 5mm LED holders and they are far too small which made me think maybe its an 8mm LED. |

The clips do not match up in the bottom of your pic Karl. That would of course make the 5th LED even larger in scale.
Oh and by the way, Great photos!

Ooops! 
There seems to be some crookedness too, with the shots not being exactly perpendicular. And the bottom of the clip won't match visually because I'm going down the centerline and the "near" side of the ciip is larger in the left image.
Technically that means the apparent size of the side LED is TOO BIG in the comparison! And it's still much smaller than the 5th LED.
But I think it's close enough to make the point.

But I can't find 5mm LED holders that match the screen used. The 3mm holders match. |
