Is it just me or do the constant blinking popular post icon thingys begin to first distract one and then slowly turn into a form of Chinese water torture? drip-drip-drip...
They don't turn off after you have opened or read the last post in the thread. They just keep blinking-blinking-blinking.
I like the white to yellow non-blink change for indicating new posts to a thread. Very easy to spot and respond. |

I hadn't noticed the "annoyance factor", but I agree that it should probably stop blinking after you've read it. Tom's the tech genius here, though, so hopefully he'll be able to patch that up when he gets a chance. _________________ Pete |

Now new posts aren't lighting up at all?
Is there a way to get threads with newposts to rise to top of forum? Like propcircle? |

Rick,
After you first log in if you look at the upper right corner under the menu link buttons there is a line that says "View posts since last visit". If you click on that you can see everything you missed in order of most recent down. Otherwise you have to look in each section to see them in order. I am under the impression that the style of this board and Propcircle's are completely different forum types and programming.

Hey Rick,
I am looking into it now. It should actually function similar to the rpf where the newest posts are on top in that indiviual sub-forum.
If it is a problem it is just a graphic problem and should be straightened out shortly.
I will keep everyone informed

I giggle when ever I am over tired and see our names at the online members list every time...I am can be a complete goofball when I am over tired (as opposed to a regular goofball otherwise). Sleep deprivation....best legal drug ever. |

Sleep deprivation by choice can be delusional entertainment but sleep deopprivation due to parenting is a killer! Plus I'm a workaholic when a new film production kicks in which started yesterday.
Years ago when our first one was born, people would warn us about the nights up with the baby. I thought "big deal, I own a nightclub, I party all night long!" Dumb me! I don't know how we functioned for the first several months. I caught myself sleeping standing up at the kitchen sink while doing dishes. Onetime i started the car to warm it up before we put the baby in it. I feel asleep in the car after about 20 seconds. My wife fell asleep in the house waiting for me to come back in and the baby just partied right on through! |

I am just happy Gavin is now sleeping through the night! Unfortunately, now when he wakes up screaming at 4:00am and wont settle himself down it is hell staying up with him. It actually seemed much easier to do that when I was getting 2 hours of sleep instead of the 5 or 6 I get now.... _________________ www.propsummit.com

I think one of the huge differences in having a special needs child is that you never progress past many of the infant/toddler stages where parental responsibility requires a large demand on time and energy.
I mean it's been 20 years and we still do overnite diapers, morning feeding assistance, toileting stuff on top of the all too often middle of the night scenarios. Ok when you're in your 20's and 30's but damn! I'm in the 50 age bracket and it's getting old fast.
My wife and i hired another aide that now comes in 5 mornings a week to get brit ready for school. For the first time since kids we actually had toast and coffee together, sitting down! Wow! |
