Seriously, once a BILLIONAIRE set his sights on it, there's very little anyone could've done about it but watch it go...

Deck, You made sure the other guys paid a little bit more for it, that is a good thing too. I may have to make that trip out to Seattle sometime now.

check this out:

I think this could show that the right side panel is made from some sort of white resin. it's also pretty clear in karls photos when you look at the scratches.

It also shows that the Cylinder was held in place by the original slotted screw (now weaver) and it it locked into the Cylinder crane/swing arm. It also looks like the other missing screw from the other side next to the slotted screw/weaver knob went through the bulldog frame to the Cylinder cover on the other side. This would have made this gun much more rock solid than any of the replicas. This is exactly what Doc3D had speculated on as well.

The white scratches could be a pot metal or aluminum too. Those materials also look white, especially over time.

This looks like the case the gun was in, minus the foam inserts...

Great Pics on the site. Thanks for the link Andy!

Does anyone know which reproduction Blaster those Amber grips sitting next to the Hero in the pictures are from?

I'm pretty impressed with the colour match in comparison to the Hero!

In the Tomenosuke pics, those are parts from the Tomenosuke blaster, which they are comparing to the real prop.

Thanks Karl, well I love what I am seeing with that repro. Guess I may have to get me one of those!

I have been looking at that originally used tape to cover the wires (pic below)

It looks sort of grey to me, not really black at all, but it seemed to do the job which I can't quite figure out. It looks like a plastic tape, quite thin. Anyone else any ideas of it's origin?

I have included an HD capture which, in my opinion shows evidence of the tape presence, in it's light reflecting properties.

What do you think?

Yeh, it does look gray. Could that just be the flash on the camera though?
Great screen grab aswell, definitely looks like the tape is in that shot.

Interesting pic. You would expect to at least see the impression of the wires too. It can also be seen that the wires were also on the inside of the cover as well.

Did anyone get pictures of the other pages in the VK manual? For future prop projects?
And a big thank you to Eltee for the pictures!!!!

Are the pictures that Deck26354 posted at the start of this thread still uploaded? I kept getting the 404 message.
*sigh*

So... did anyone confirm for certain where it went or to whom it was sold (presumably Paul Allen)?

More information should be coming soon. Some people were held in contract during the sale which is still in process. After that they will be able to post more info.

Andy,

Do you think there is a chance that we get more specifics and pics from the buyer/s?. I deducted from your comment that you may know this people, or that they me members here, as you said theyshelves will post info later.

If this is the case, I'm very happy the blaster went to a real Blade Runner and blaster fan.

Regards
