Went searching for MIG flightsuits to put the finishing touch on my French Nostromo jacket and to supply a possible Bretts jacket project and came across this very good supply.

Make sure you check the sellers store as there are many of these suits in different sizes and some for buy it now.
Just one suit will supply six full length cord adjusted straps, enough for three Nostromo jackets and the leg piping looks very similar to the arms and trimming on Bretts jacket. Will post better pics of the suit when it arrives.

I have one I can let go for even less, Or I can part it out and get you some of the lacings if you need. I may try to do one like this myself, and maybe I can save you some $$$$

Many thanks for the offer jtp but i already paid for it, I got the one at auction with no other bidders so it wasnt to bad.
I still may take you up on two small "laced" sections on the front of Dallas`s jacket for mine if the flightsuit is too cool to cut up,
its gunna take a while to get here so i`ll get back to you on that one.
Cheers, Tim.

Actually you will be surprised at the quality and coolness of these suits, I bought a bunch in the bazarre in Moscow a couple years ago for like 15-20 dollars each, and sold a few over here, but the one I kept is too short for me, So I just hung onto it, but Now I see people are making these Dallas jackets out of them so I am going to part mine out for all the lacings and stuff.

Nice score, yeah from the little research ive done after i got my jacket
it seemed to me that the lacings as well as that style of jacket were a little hard to find.
If your definately gunna turn some of yours into parts then i will place an order for the two small lacings at the front of Dallas`s jacket,
i think now i wont change the jumpsuit.
Tim.

Man I would love to have one of those. I have a hard time finding Flight suits for a 6'1" frame. Pilots are usually short it seems.

Holy cow Tim, I can't believe the price !!! Bought mines for 150USD each last year !!!

Shocked

I'd like to buy another one in the future, but to keep it pristine... I was so ashamed to tear apart those true works of art for my Nostromo jackets... (the details are incredible, the fabrics, the weight, the kerozen smell !)

One work of art was sacrificed to produce another, the universe is in balance Fred.

I know what you mean though, modifying the ww2 helmets and headsets for the Gaff projects was a little uncomfortable cos they made
it through a war undamaged where maybe the original owners didnt.

Yes, I think this attitude has something to do with the memories of our grandfathers...
I don't think the next generations will have those kind of strong feelings about WW2... I can't blame them since as time goes by people tend to forget all these things and then they do the same mistakes... (The thing we'll never forget here in France is WW1, we have war memorials displaying too many names in every towns and villages... pretty scary... Even in the smallest villages, you always found a minimum of 30 names written on those stones)

Sorry to go O.T for a second.
This was on the news here in the UK today.

Hopefully they'll all have their identities found and be able to rest in peace.

Gosh... Let's go back to the topic, it's less depressing...

What about Kane burial shroud ? Do you think flightsuit lacings were incorporated in it ? (I've also noted the UK patch on the full size version shown on Martin Bower's site)
