Please note: This quick intro appears at the beginning of each of the threads I've begun on this topic.

Hi fellas,
Well, the time has come.
(Largely because I'm running out of time to get these photos posted and still make tonights late show of Star Trek)...
So, I'm going for broke and just posting a bunch of stuff while keeping my fingers crossed that the Mods don't kick me outta' here for overloading.
Tomorrow I'll come back a edit these threads with a few notes about some things I wanted to mention regarding a few of the photos... maybe there'll even be a few comments or questions from some of you that I can answer...but again, I'll have to leave that until tomorrow.
For now, let me just say that I hope you like these.
I'm REALLY happy with my Abbyshot Deckard V2 and thrilled with my Magnoli Deckard Blazer, Shirt & Tie.
Now, some of the photos are a bit dark and murky (but I love them because they're moody and I think they give the shot more atmosphere.)
I realize that some of us here who are fussier than others about certain details might be also be tempted to point out a few problems in the finer details of my outfit - for instance, I know my pants aren't quite Screen Accurate - but I like these duds... a lot. I'M happy with them and I think they do the job.
As I said before, my main goal here was to show my BR Gear and how they all interact with each other in different settings (and types of lighting).
I hope you enjoy these enough that they allow you to overcome your natural response in thinking "Alright, Mitch! ENOUGH photos, already! STOP!!!"
Hopefully they do.
All the Best,
Mitch

Yeah, with the "On The Line" shots the lighting quickly forced the shoot to become more about mood, atmosphere & ambiance and less about clear detail... that's what some of the other shots (including the use of FLASH on the roof of The Yukon) focused on instead.
Thanks for your thoughts.

I love the setting in the shots for sure, and I think you do capture the look of Deckard pretty well. all I think you need is a little fill light. Some reflective white boards reflecting the ambient light back at the actor, or some low level fill lights on the camera side. Even coming from the side to a degree is good, like what you have coming from behind the plant. You just have to avoid the total back light look which makes you just a big dark shadow.

Oh, I agree andy... but I just wasn't able to work out a situation like that.
I was just saying something on this subject to someone over at Filmjackets.com:
"I had these photos taken with the mindset that I hoped FIRST & FOREMOST that BR Fans would not only think the duds looked good... but that they'd appreciate the effort we made to re-create some of the look & feel of the film (while still operating as a "ZERO $ Budget / Wife on camera / 9-Year-Old Son Cheering Me On Saying 'Wow! Dad You Look JUST Like Deckard!' " Photoshoot Team."
The idea of having my wife behind the camera PLUS someone else looking after the lighting strikes me as quite the luxury... but andy if you're ever in town, come and see me... you sound like you know what you're talkin' about.
Wink
(But I'm still gonna have to have my kid there cheerin' for me and tryin' to get me to laugh... I hope that goes without saying.)
Very Happy

I really like the mood in the photos.
Looks like a professional shoot to me.

These are all really great. The only thing missing is one of you knocking back a shot of the good stuff in a Cibi glass.

Loyalizer beat me to my last comment - break out the Cibi (and not the Cibo - i need to proofread more)!

Most important is you have the whole fam into it which is heavenly! Great to see your atmospherics and having fun at the same time!
thanks for sharing Mitch.
