I have a couple of molds on the Nostromo kit I will need to be remolded. If anyone is able to remold a couple of parts for me, I will gladly pay for your services. The parts are fairly complex, so they will need to be molded with a degasser. I simply dont have time or a vacuum chamber for this. If anyone can help, let me know. I will be doing a few other parts at a time. but there will be 4 for now..

Thank you all in advance.

His name is Steve West and he owns Cellar Cast.
I've used him for all of my stuff.

I contacted Steve, he has kind of gotten out of molding and is now into scupture, and he is way backed up with projects. I will keep this thread open for awhile until I end up having to buy a vacuum chamber myself. If anyone can help with 4 new molds, I can pay for your time and ship you the silicon and parts directly...

I hate to say this, but the place to ask is the RPF.

I will try to pass the word on to a few people I know, but most of them are similarly no longer doing molding.

I may just end up buying a vacuum chamber Andy, After I figured the cost of shipping the parts, shipping the silicon, and paying for the molding, it would be more than a home-made degasser. I found plans to do this by reversing the pressure pump on an HVLP.. that may be the Idea. I just need to redo these 4 parts to make an even better model kit for people I must say, This forum is much better than the RPF.. ALIEN and Blade Runner, My two favorite movies of all time!

And no forum veterans telling you that you haven't enough posts on your profile to have the privilege of asking questions.

This place is better because it is much more orderly and focused, and the props people have here are not just something that one can buy from a toy store , Like the Police Blaster kits I see here. Those are unique and incredible.

I totally agree.
The Blade Runner props i own are by far my favourite.
Places like the RPF are more about buying/selling props, whereas here it's all about helping people and being a community.
One of the many reasons this is my favourite place on the web Smile

Andre Freitas. He molded and cast my MG-34 kits.

To tell the truth, the rpf sucked basically, too many who contributed nothing who were definately the experts on everything lol although I never got any emails from administrators, I have heard from others there can be some problems. everyone on the propsummit has some special contribution. The Blade runner props and Alien props here are incredible.. If I want a light-saber, I can go to the toy store.

Yeah, there are way too many members of the RPF in general, and even more that would be better off as lurkers only. The very few that actually have something to contribute are the only reason I still go there, and I have been trying to get them all to come here too.

Just like the outside in the rest of the world I try to ignore the idiots as much as I can, but it helps to have enclaves like this place to go and get away from the "head shakers"(someone who does something so stupid that all you can do is shake your head).

Having both Blade Runner and ALIEN here though certainly makes it easier to get my fix of my two faves too, and not have to go hitting a bunch of other sites as well. Consolidation Wink It is good for the ego when the world aligns to your wants and desires Smile
