Not really a prop but can anyone tell me where I can find very good res shots of Batty's coat? I have seen most of the usual ones on line but I am making a copy and could do with seeing more detail.

Many thanks

Welcome MarkHev,

I personally don't have any pictures of Roy's coat that I know that would help, but Jfuste has archived the HD version of the movie, and might help help with screen caps. Also Nicklas' LA-2019 sites archive

Good luck and show pictures Very Happy

Thanks for the replies guys. I knew about the two websites but they are very useful so cheers.

As you may be aware I am making Bladder Run - a comedic take on our fave film. Its shot in HD so the details need to be spot on. As the actor first cast has dropped out I have stepped in to play "Ray Botty"

I need to see detail on the entire front of the coat - piping, pouch, pockets and especially the area of the collar where it meets the front "flap"

We have done some costume tests for my Bladder Run project to see how the leads look although the make up on the girls was incomplete and the "Raquel" character (as she is in Bladder Run) did not have the completed jacket.

take a look at www.attitude.me.uk/blade

The work on the costumes has now moved on and the jacket has the correct details such as diamonds down the arms, shoulder and neck details. We are covering the jacket with a material similar to the movie and building out the shoulders. The shots are low res but you get the general idea. The shots where "Raquel's" hair is messed up are from a scene where she attempts to let her hair down at the piano with not quite the desired affect!

I was quite happy with the "Pritt" character in both her outfits

A lady who can airbrush make up will do the eyeline across the face for the "ballerina" sequence - in which Pritt - as the script dictates - "does some crap kung fu moves that look like they were stolen from Hong Kong Phooey" hence her poses on the site above!

The VK machine is almost an exact replica of the original - with working bellows, and arm. the only thing it won't have is a working TV monitor - it will be an eye on acetate and back lit. It has been built by one of the set designers from the Royal Shakespeare Company and when I saw the work in progress I almost cried. I said to the lady - Emma - that when our movie is finished she should attempt to sell it on ebay. It will be a unique copy and VERY close to the original!

Hope you like whats on the site - please bear in mind these were before finessing the make up hair and designs; more to follow

Mark

Karlus G - our tailor on Bladder Run - created this for me to wear in Bladder Run. He will be creating other Blade Runneresque costumes for the movie

He is also available for comminssions should you want a coat, shirt - or dress based on the movie designs

UK based. http://www.karlusg-tailor.co.uk/
