Ive picked up a few more things in the last couple of months and have also come across a great display cabinet so I thought id put all the
stuff together that you would come across in Decks place Ive collected and take some pics before its all split up
Has anybody started a Bryants office collection? Would love to see it.

Nice! Gets me motivated to go back and watch the apartment scenes again to see if there is anything new to go after.

I haven't started a Bryant's Desk collection yet, but my own desk is certainly messy enough to give his a run for the money. Just need the lamp with the big game hunting photos...

Haha! That's the Spirit!!!! Very HappyVery HappyVery HappyVery Happy

Well, the bankers fan was once at ebay.... circa 900$.... a mad vendor!!! The Hallibureton case is a matter of time... The Buddha head, I will search in local "hippie" stores for one (with some luck...), the Bonzai Tree? Uh, this will be very difficult to find exactly the same! The ARgyle chair... just bought a miniature of it! hehe... at least, it's cheaper... The French book(s), I have one. Look at abebooks.com for one. The big fake leather chair... I think is one-of-a-kind... but some with enough knowledge could build one. The ESPER machine... ehemmm! a fake one it's possible... some pieces are clearly identified, but A WORKING ONE it's a dream!!!!! For all means!!!

And the piano? wohooo!

And the answer is NO, this will never end. If you have all these items... why not the walls, floor, roof, ALL THE F*CK*NG APARTMENT IN WHOLE???? Very HappyVery HappyVery HappyVery Happy

That Buddha head is infuriating! Has anybody seen one like it?

I haven't - not on the WWW at least. None that has that 'swirl' of hair as opposed to the usual top-knot and snail shells arrangement.

I saw a lamp that was close, but still not right. I think it is a one of a kind sculpture that was only influenced by the buddhist heads.

I was following this ultra-rare, pristine, mint-new banker's fan - I expected it to sell for much more, but still way out of my range:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=220436356351

I also just posted the source I found for the dollhouse-size Argyle chair in this thread:

I guess Joan here is the winner of the one on eBay, right? Smile

Yes Andy you're probably right about that particular Buddha head, never saw one like it before the one in the movie. Do you have any screen caps of that one?

These are the best screen caps I could take - hopefully Joan can post the hi-res caps from his new archive and someone good at Photoshop (Karl?) can bring out the details in shadow! Very Happy

I've been scouring eBay, the web, Asian import stores, & street corner sellers all over LA for this particular style for years and absolutely NOTHING! Sad I've even consulted with an archeologist friend of mine who noted strong Greco-Roman influences in the hair style and face. I asked him if he thought it was an antique and he said unlikely, since it appears to be made of wood - more like early to mid 20th century. Then again, it could be bronze - there's what seems to be a ding on the "collar"... If it's a one-off, then probably the best way to obtain one is to find a talented sculptor (RPF seems to have plenty!) and commission him to make one. If we can generate enough interest each collect a deposit, said artisan could also offer castings - what say you guys? Do any of you know a sculptor on the RPF or shall we seek one out who's interested?

Hope this helps...

There is another large head in his aprtment too, that can be seen behind the esper when he is checking out the photos. Very likely might have not been part of the original set since the esper itself changed by then.

I was thinking the hair on that larger one did have a Greco-Roman look and was about to say something untill I read your post. The bangs are a dead give away. I never persued the larger ones just because of my own space constraints though.

Good research though Aku. I hope we can find out more on this one.

Is this the one? As we know, all the set pieces were used multiple times in different parts of his apartment:

Also, just benhind the headboard hanging lamp, I believe I see one of those Galileo thermometers that are still around:

Can someone please confirm?
