First post. Some of you know me from the Aliens Legacy board.

Finally got some time to post this.
My first Alien prop.

All I need to do is get some blue and red paint to go over the existing
color bars + get the backing pad molded in a soft urethane.

What do you guys think of the backing piece's size and shape?

I couldn't find some close reference picts.

Hey Noble, welcome! I go to the Aliens Legacy board quite alot. I don;t post much as unfortunately I don't have any USCM gear, but there you go!
Watch looks terrific. Fantastic work indeed. I don't know for certain, as I'm going from memory as I type, but I'm pretty certain Dallas wears the same kind of watch too, so maybe there are some close ups available of that perhaps. Maybe one of us (i.e. me) could see if we can get screengrabs if you need 'em. The backing looks great.

Yeah that's the one that Ripley wears. The dual watch also appears in Blade Runner, on Bryant's wrist, tho I think the used a different model watch for that.

Thanks guys!

Some reference picts would be helpful.

I made my backing pad in Solidworks and printed it via FDM printer.

Will need to sand and primer it before molding.

These watches aren't easy to come by, especially with the band intact.

Got lucky and recently bought one that was still in the box.

The top reference pic is Fan made (the one on the cutting mat), and has a replacement band. The one Noble has with his is correct and the original band for the Casio F-100.

I have a feeling the orange back piece may have been part of the packaging, but the only boxed ones I have found have standard generic packaging.

Great work Noble.

The top pict is from me before I got a deadstock f-100.

Backing piece isn't a part of the packaging.

Anybody have some more reference picts?

Hard to judge the bottom thickness..

I think it is Miller Time.

Oh wait... it's ASPEN time!

Man Matt,
The rubber castings came out great. THANK YOU FOR MAKING THE BACKING!!!
Here are a couple of other shots.
Matt also made some great graphics for the resin castings of the F-100 fo the prop watch. I picked up a $4 watch band at Wal-mart.

Matt... you ROCK!!

We now can have cool watches.

Steve
