Does anybody have any information on the paper Deckard is reading when we first see him at the Noodle Bar?

I have some details, but I can't even make out the title. It appears to start with "The ..."

So that doesn't narrow it down much!

The blue implies that it might be USA Today and the white line pattern seems inspired by it, but the name is in black on white.
Any other famous US papers this could be based on?

I think it's the same paper in Leon's draw aswell, and when he's waiting for Zhora i think he has it turned around so it looks a little different.
I think someone shared a picture file a while back of it.
I'll see if i have it.

Strewth!

And I thought I had been doing pretty well.

I don't agree with all of his text, but that is some amazing work.

Here's what I had achieved. I can see now that he had the title correct, although I think it should be small caps. I've amended my version to incorporate that title.

Coolio. Smile
You plan on making a replica? Would be cool to see one using the correct paper and have all the details.

Front page only, I think.

Unless somebody wants to help out with the Kanji etc.

I always assumed that Whitefalls was screen accurate with a lot of personal license. Is the Daily accurate or is it the Sentinel?
Would love to have one in real newspaper, are you thinking of going that way Kevin?

The great thing about Whitefall is that he never let having only a VHS tape of the movie prevent him from making his replicas.

He used other sources too, but accuracy seems less important back then, and the prop makers would use as much imagination as the original prop makers to make their stuff. I still love all of my pieces by him, accurate or not. Considering what he had to work with, his stuff was awesome.

Agreed, the actual content is facinating and leaves me wanting the whole paper.

I got a GREAT birthday present this morning in the mail, NYzeki's amazing re-creation of THE INDEPENDENT SENTINEL !!!

The attention to detail is phenomenal and it was (very well) printed on a real journal paper !!!

Junichi, I can't thank you enough for this great present !!!
