|
|
Hi there
As you may know, I am currently making my homage to Blade Runner, Bladder Run. When the projected started life I went for a "that looks a little like the costume in the original" kind of feel. However, since we decided to shoot in 1080p I decided that things should look closer to the original than "just OK"
As you can see from these test shots we didnt get the "Rachael" jacket quite right first time but the "pris" outfit was not too bad at all. This was all done using clothes bought on ebay.
However, last week I made contact with a UK based tailor called Karlus G (Karl Harris to you and I!!). He produces bespoke clothing and after meeting him today I am amazed by how quickly he picks up details and translates them into garments.
He had "mocked up" a Roy Batty coat for me to try on before commencing work on the leatherette final garment, and I was amazed (particularly as I am VERY critical and picky) how good it was from just several conversations and an email of some stills. And it fit my 6ft 4 frame right away!!
Karlus - who has now joined this community - runs a tailors business but he is keen to break into the world of costume making as a full time line of business. I know that there are a few custom made sites in the USA but for those of us like me who think "I want one of theose now how the Hell do I make it?" Karlus is the answer.
He is ready to give you a high quality and accurate costume/garment made to your specifications/order. I hope that you will consider contacting him - whether its for a BR copy, a TV or movie outfit or simply for a peice of unique clothing made to your design.
You can mail him at info@karlusg-tailor.co.uk
I will be adding photos of his work over the next few weeks including the Batty Coat, Rachael's "shades of grey" suit and Dickards Red and green shirt.

Very exciting news, Mark.
I can't wait to see some pics.
I'd love to get some Deckard clothing or even a Batty coat in the future. |

I was really impressed with the guy - and he's a nice bloke to spend time with too. We went to the local Asian quarter today and bought the material for the various outfits so I will post pictures as soon as I can! I am VERY excited about Rachaels dress as Ive only ever seen one copy of he grey dress before. The colours are "best match" from what we could find but should look awesome
Look out for the "Bladder Run Cast and Crew" page on facebook - its a private group but if any of you guys want to join send me a message _________________ I've eaten things you people wouldn't believe |

I sent a facebook message to Join your page, and I joined the public fan page. I hope I can actually help out with this too.

Here are the latest costumes - which are work in progress. This is Rex Dickard's shirt, and Raquel's coat for the shades of grey suit. More as they are finished.

Nice aren't they? As much like them so people know what they are but with a twist to make them "ours" _________________ I've eaten things you people wouldn't believe |
