Fred, that looks to be in the city where i live, and nothing comes here, lol.
I must admit, i'm not familiar with "Dune" or most of the artists (Apart from Giger obv)
If i remember, which i hope i do, i might pop along and see it Smile

That is so sweet!! HUGE DUNE FAN!

Though this Jodorowsky is a strange man. Check out his story about his version of the movie below.

Jodorowski is great...part of my youth in Brussels was spent at reading his Bandes Dessinées (Cartoon in French) and those of Moebius...great artists!

I totaly agree... Irritating & attractive at the same time, very much like the great Salvador Dali was ! (I miss Dali a lot)

Just for fun, a link to a famous 70s french commercial featuring Dali himself (he says "I'm crazy about Lanvin chocolate") :

Enjoy !

Yeah Joberg...

Do you realize he was supposed to play the part of the Emporor Shaddam the 4th in Jodorowsky's adaptation of D U N E ? That would have been... surreal !!!

Jodorowsky's version would have had to be better than David Lynch's 1984 version of Dune. I had the misfortune to see that horrible film on opening night a Grauman's Chinese. Probably the worst film-going experience of my life.

Well, I won't totally agree with you regarding Lynch's DUNE... It's not a good movie, absolutely not... BUT it's the only time we were offered a truly original vision of the Space Opera genre, something very victorian in essence... thanks to Tony Masters and his team !

I like to think of Lynch's DUNE as a film made during the Victorian era, that's why I still enjoy it a lot despite all its bad sides.

Shame on them !

Shocked

(I would LOVE to see 2001 again on a theatre screen, the only way to really experience it imo)

I don't want to hijack the topic, but there's a few things I don't like in 2001 (as well in Dune) but that's another story

The aforementioned exhibit is long gone, but there is a new Jodorowaky exhibit at El Museo de Barrio (New York). And the failed Dune project documentary complete (and worth a watch) - Jodorowskysdune.com
