Another stupid idea :

Couldn't we have a visual archive here somewhere ?

This archive would include screencaps, original props photos, fan-made props, illustrations, etc...

The purpose ?

A visual resource on Blade Runner (and maybe A L I E N aswell) would be very helpful to anyone in need of visual reference...

Fred

Great Idea. I am still compiling pictures of the Blade Runner guns, but most of the pics I have I do not have permission to use for something like this. Part of the reason I keep buying the different guns.

Of course we may have to open up a new section and have people pay for the storage if we can not get it free. It may be up to all of us to host our own images. There are also a few Blade Runner Wikis that are not getting any use, maybe we could take them over.

its a good idea Fred. i have often tried to find a still image i knew i had seen here before, but couldn't remember where to find it for the life of me. the Search function has helped on occasion but usually i am stumped.

i for one would really like some detailed shots of Tyrell's Pyramid prop on set!

A suggestion for helping people finding threads is that when someone starts a thread to contain as much accurate info in the thread title as possible. Same with commenting, to make sure at least part of a thread has fully spelled out names and not just common abbreviations and nicknames. I know it may be a lot to ask, but it will help unclutter (or declutter) searches and make them more accurate, thus making the board more valuable as a source of information to everybody.
