What I did on the fingers is on the ends that have the extra casting, you can trim them to about a half ball-joint looking thing.. then cut a hole in the knuckle . then with a blade I slowly trimmed the hole until the end of the finger would almost fit into the socket. I ran the end of the finger in very hot water, and then pushed it into the socket . this seemed to work pretty good for me. cant wait to see another face hugger! |

In the scale modeling thread I was warning everyone away from U.S. Composites Polyurethane casting rubber..
well I was left with a quart or so, after it almost destroyed my narcissus shuttle, and I decided to pull the ol' face hugger down and give it liberal coats of the slimey snotty looking stuff... works great for ooze.... but not for molds

On a side not, that bud light isn't screen accurate
You need to replace it with the ASPEN. |

Thank you for the great comments guys, actually I did another repaint with my wife helping me make sure the color was correct, then hung it up for a few months, then I got bored a couple days ago and decided to make it look better and I applied the rubber all over it to make it look like it was coated in "yuck"......
We need to talk Fred into making a run of beer can sleeves so we can really have the effect of enjoying WEYLAN YUTANI ASPEN BEER

Well, I wouldn't try to mold something that was done by somebody else without their permission. I'm sure that you're aware that re-casting is a big no-no on many boards and this one is no different.
While we can appreciate your offer to mold the face-hugger for others here, we also appreciate the honesty of our members when it comes to aknowledge the efforts of the person who made this in the first place.
I hope you understand |
