I am pretty sure it was a slot screw used in the movie. The length of the weaver is too short to retain the cylinder from blowing open when shooting the blanks. I have some close customers to the screw, but not exact. Similar in size at least, but the slots are too wide. The only good picture of the gun from that side in the movie shows the slotted screw too.

This looks like the source for the slot head to me....



From using the lettering as reference to the size it matches up. The thickness of the slot also looks proportionate.

Guys when I worked for Burris we had a ton
of slotted screws that looked just like the one
used on the gun and yes Andy they were used
on our rings and bases for our scopes.Hope this

I’ve looked into doing both the weaver knobs and the binding posts and both are very doable. fortunately I can get this going while I’m down here in NZ. please let me know if and how many of each you would be interested in. ill be looking into the slot screw, but would love to source an original to base it on if we think the scope screw is a good candidate.

I havent evaporated completely and as some of you know im still down in NZ. Naturally the project is running longer but the work is good and the gang down here has been great. Plus its summer and ill take it.
