Ok guys, Ill need to do some costing on the aluminum
but it shouldnt be that much.Heres what Im thinking
with the offworld plates.Id like to go with
.5 by 1.5 6061 bar aluminum.I want it thicker so
I can put in a bigger pinky relief. I dont know how big
your hands are but mine were to big for the
offworld. Another thing is that the offworld grips are
parallel to the grip frame and the plate I made has a
taper towards the rear of the gun like the worldcon.
If I make it like the worldcon the stock grips may
look funny. Let me know what you think.

The thicker plate sounds fine with me. Since the OffWorld is no Worldcom I think keeping true to the original OffWorld buttplate would be the best. |

The thicker buttplate is definitely the way to go. The OW Blaster grip is way small and my hands aren't even that big. |

I would prefer the taper and thicker plate, but I know the rear screw is positioned too far back to have much of a taper. Still, it is the design element on the worldcon that really makes it look so much better than any of the replicas before it.

Hirohawa, The plate in the photo does have some taper.
I can give it some more if you would like. One of the
biggest problems with the offworld is the size of
the screws for the butt plate. If I give it to much taper
it could break into the counter sink for the socket
head screw.They're pretty big.

One thing I wanted to ask you Andy.Do you know of
anyone that might have drawings with dimensions
for an actual bulldog frame? The gun Im making now is
me just guessing at hole placement and dimensions.
I wouldnt mind making another frame from
aluminum but I just dont have a real bulldog to work with.
I know your the goto man around here so I thought I'd ask.

I will double check my CA bulldog Op manuals I have, but I am pretty sure they don't have any dimensions, just exploded views. It might be worth another google search though, or just a call to the Charter Arms company themselves.

howdy,
i'd be interested in a tapered buttplate for the 2006 sidkit?! i don't know if your buttplate your offering was made to fit the monsters in motion 'offworld' or sidkits 'worldcon'...
But if you ever do, (or have done) a tapered 'worldcon' version that would fit onto the sidkit, i'll take one! |

woohooo! exceedingly kind of you sir! i'm not exactly sure how to get you the measurements you are asking for. I have a 2006 sid kit with an 'inaccurate' (non tapered butt-plate) I'm hoping someone with an 'accurate' worldcon butt-plate will step up to this plate and provide the info you seek... for the greater good of course
i dunno, should i stick the 06 sidkit bulldog frame on a xerox machine? would that work? |

Neo maybe you could take the plate off
and copy that on both sides making
sure that it is 1:1 scale. Then Ill give you
my private email and you can just sent it
to me.
