Filming is done under BRIGHT lights, causing harsh contrasts and dark shadows and stainless steel guns to look dark at times.

And a lot of shiny things get a dulling coat to cut reflections which will also cause it to look dark when not directly lighted.

My 2 cents worth.

U mean that silver cop that most of the times has black grips had black grips on the matrix too due to lightning?

I took some pics of my airsoft COP guns next to a real COP to show how close it is. Curiously, I also have a black airsoft version in my stash, and the airsofters tend to copy real life, so perhaps there was a limited run of black/blue real COPs.

The grip area is thicker on the airsoft version presumably to accomodate the gas container and part of the discharge mechanism.

Unfortunately, I don't have one of Rich's COP replicas to compare.
