Came across the famous supercharger switch on ebay and thought it would be cool to try and reproduce the whole thing.
Ive tried to use as many original parts as possible but as I've never seen a pic below the switch, I've had to improvise a little.

The gear knob is a new repro of the GT original and the fuel clip lines that attach the switch to the stick and slice of carpet are from a XC coupe at a local wreckers.
I cant find an original GT gear stick for love or money so some dowel did the job.

The gear boot is off a late model falcon and until I can get conformation on what was used in the movie, this will do. You can buy new versions of the original but are very pricey.
I think it turned out great as a display.

The original

The Mad Max 2 version next maybe

Thanks guys.
The switch was MADE for the fit, just dont connect it up for gods sake.

The gear knob in the MM2 version is still a mystery to me Neil, i think its safe to say its not a factory model, could be off a fork lift etc or a custom job.
There are a couple of sites similar to propsummit for MM and its difficult to wade through everything and find specific things at times but im on to it.

For anyone else whos interested just search for TWO SPEED AXLE SWITCH on ebay and there are a couple of cheap sources.
