Well, when I saw Kane's helmet being cut in two, I decided to replicate the saw Ash was using...since there's not a lot of pics I took some artistic liberties

How about this one, J?
EDIT
It says on his site
"NOTE I DO NOT GIVE PERMISSION TO USE MY SCANS ON OTHER SITES"
So i've taken the image down.
There is a link further down this page to his site though.

For a moment there I thought this was going to be an "Evil Dead" thread.
Nice work once again.

Yes Andy, that's why I opted for the title:"Ash's saw" rather than just: "Saw"
Thanks Neil for the pic...that would be it; a few challenges also for that prop (not enough info) also the handle is rather funky. I'll have to search in my collection of shampoo bottles which one could do the job |

Nice work (as always), Joberg !
I really don't understand why this guy doesn't allow his screencaps to be imported on other sites... Does he owns the copyrights for A L I E N, or what ?

Thanks Fred...yeah, that was weird; maybe he thinks that since he did the job of putting these pics together that he has the right to make that kind of claim |

Very true.
I can save the screencap to my Photobucket and re-post if you want?
It's not like he owns it.
EDIT
Here it is...

Thanks Neil...I'm still trying to find the right pieces; so far I have:
The handle.
The "cup" at the end of the handle.
The main tip: tip used in pastry to squeeze sugar paste on a cake.
The plastic to build the main frame of the apparatus...still looking for the other "tips"...probably from an airbrush?
Stay tuned |

I wouldn't say fast, but since I only create props with found objects the search for these can sometimes take weeks/months until I find the right one. The top of the handle will be a little tricky (weird contraption)and I think that I'll have to re-create that part of the prop (with many others I'm afraid)...oh well |

Hope these pics will help... BTW Joberg, did you try to contact Martin Bower about these props ? (after all, he detailed the flamethrower... he could maybe have worked on other props aswell ???)
Fred

I don't know about airbrush but those two small tips remind me of this:
Look at the shiny little fitting, which is where a hose would push on.
I know it's not the same, just saying it could be along those lines? _________________ Mike

I've used a fair amount of different airbrushes in the past, none of those pieces look like they come off an airbrush. _________________
