hi i am just new here and found this place via the rpf via a post on a weapon from the Nostromo and thought i showoff my pride and joy i am currently trying to fix up
the lady i was with at the time bought the model off ebay here in australia for a cheap price and i never seen one this big before and all i know is basicly it belonged to a model shop that closed down in the late 80s and gen who owned the shop scracth built this back in the early80s late 70's but i love some help and advice to how best restore her and not destroy her she has a cable to light up running lights and such but i let the pics tell the story
3ft 5inches width x 4ft 5inches length x 1 ft 7inches high or 105cm x 135cm x 50cm seems to be made from stryne and not as detailed as every ones elses i seen here so far
pics from the seller who emailed me

I also remember seeing it a few weeks ago on eBay...
Bravo Wolf, great acquisition !
I must also say it reminds me a similar model I saw in the early 80's in a mag (Starlog, iirc)... 2 guys had built a huge Nostromo model from scratch for themselves... or maybe a shop, don't really remember the details... but there was this black & white photo of their built and a small article (maybe a quarter or half of a page).
Does this sound familiar to any of you, guys ???

Sounds very crowded
That replica is huge. It has to be pretty close to the studio model.

5 adults, 3 kids a dog and the Nostromo; Wolf, it's either the title of a great book, or you need to re-think your life my friend
Good luck with either projects. |
