Thank you again for the comments, guys !
Neil, the buttons came from a french 3rd Republic Colonel uniform (1870 to 1940), found them on French eBay for a few bucks... They're gorgeous and add a lot to the final look of the helmet !
Regarding future projects similar to this one... Hmm... I'd like to do something Hellboy related / inspired next time... All I need now is time, time & more time ! (let's say it's not going to happen in the near future, alas)

I love Hellboy aswell. You could do a Samaritan type weapon? |

I've found those long lost (on my hard disk) WIP pics yesterday...
As you can see, the "cheeks" were detailed using... rubber bands !
