So, I was scrolling through my tech news RSS feed today, which I do everyday (with drug addict regularity) and came across this great post:

http://gizmodo.com/5485520/mythbusters-adam-savage-my-lifelong-pursuit-of-the-perfect-blade-runner-gun?skyline=true&s=i

I have to say, that final product looks both amazing and, dare i say, familiar. Adam are you lurking about in here under some kind of pseudonym? Or are you out in the open and I am just too dumb to have noticed before! Razz

Either way, it's a great build and if you haven't seen it you should check it out. I am always amazed how often Blade Runner pops up in the media while still managing to stay just below the surface enough to never reached mainstream popularity.

Adam, if you're reading this: Great work and I am totally jealous!!

I've seen the pictures on the RPF but still get blown away by them, seriously cool.

Love seeing his 20% smaller blaster aswell.

There seems to be more about it at Boing Boing including some more pictures and info that Paul Allen most likely did not buy the hero...

A fantastic job, no doubt. However, after all the time and effort expended, it's hard to imagine him missing something as conspicuous as the (red) LED's.

Adam has been working on this for years, and is taking a little at a time. mainly because he is a busy man, but mostly because he wants to do it right. It seems like he is excited that it is finally taking shape, but I think he plans on working on it for a while to come. He does lurk here as he has told me. I would love him to become a full member, but I do understand why he is hesitant and doesn't need to.

I still havnt forgiven Adam or his buddy with the soup strainer for labeling Mad Max as a Hollywood production in their stunt special,
I nearly choked on my Koala roll and couldnt finish my Emu daiquiri Wink

That myth has been busted has it? Well, I wonder how. Could it be Adam bought it?

Another mention from Adam about the gun...

http://fora.tv/2010/03/13/Hosts_Jamie_Hyneman_and_Adam_Savage_Talk_MythBusters#chapter_18

An older article where Adam professes his love for BR and the gun...

http://www.popularmechanics.com/science/mythbusters/articles/4218376

This article used to have an audio portion which had him talking more about all his gun replicas which I can not find any longer.

He also got to meet up with Rick Ross this past weekend in NYC and talk shop and buy/commission one of his chess sets.

For some reason he still won't become a member here. Razz

Great video Andy.
Glad to see him talking about his Maltese Falcon as well.

He'll be one lucky guy to get one of Rick's chess sets, a true work of art.

Not sure why he wont register here.

Neil.
