Good for you! You have the downward offset corridor just like in the film... very few people have noticed this....

OK, since the cut away stuff really seems to fly around here, I'll give you two more to keep you happy while I try and figure out whats going on in the rear of the bridge

Here's a couple of renders. All the flooring levels are now in place, and reworked the windows, added some of the floor grill work, lighting and the console over the rear section. More detail to come, and don't forget the grunge! Maybe this is what the Nostromo looked like off the showroom floor? Anyone who can share some good pictures of the rear area of the bridge would be tops in my book.

Very nice! This perspective brings to mind Ron Cobb's "California Split-level" bridge design artwork, with the big bay windows! I love this work!

I am truly honored by your words Embarassed Thank you, Ron Cobb's work is what got me originally interested in alien and other movies he worked on. The "Split Level Bridge" was one of my favorite:

Maybe that's why I kinda liked the way that particular render came out too. Thanks again.

Sometimes I use the emergency helmets when looking at the Bridge photos to orientate myself where it is located or taken from on the bridge.

Both these pics are from the rear of the bridge looking forward; note how on the first pic, one of the emergency helmets are missing or not yet in place on the set. On the side left and right rear seats, the helmets are located on top of the chairs, and not on a console like the other crew seats.
The scene where the crew listen to my *ahem, sorry* the Space Jockey's transmission, Lambert is sitting in one of these rear seats, and the helmet moves with the chair as she swivels the chair around slightly.

Okay, since you opened this can of worms...Smile

Do you think the "Cali S/L Bridge" design was intended to be inside Cobb's 'Leviathan' version of NOstromo? I've looked over the drawing (limited perspective, though, that it offers) and can't see where it might fit with it's enormous bi-lateral bay windows
