Yes, that's the plan: a fairly deep frame with a mat glass to finish the whole thing. As I said before (and it's not to highjack this thread), I'm in the middle of a few projects at the moment (I will post pics soon) and that was one way to let off steam . But, yes, I plan to do the main airlock, with lights and everything in the not-so distant future. |

First thing is to finish the landing gear (among other things ) I will not tackle the inside of the airlock anytime soon (lack of details) but I`m hopefull that, one day, I`ll come up with a version of my own JTP. |

Great work on this airlock !! I was always a little unsure why they blasted Kane's body off into space, after all it's not like they thought he was infected or anything, and Ash had already said they were taking the facehugger back to be studied !! You think they'd have just frozen his body and taken it back to earth !!!??? _________________ My CG Art Blog http://glazy.blogspot.com/ |

Thanks Glazy...I think they sent Kane into space just to build the airlock ...remember, at one point, they went crazy with the model-building |

Wow Space jockey... superb pictures. The inside looks like it could be fairly easy to duplicate... very 2001 looking. joberg did a great job on his....just excellent. _________________ ______________________________________

I just happen to have joberg's airlock sitting on a shelf in my living room, just woke up one morning and it was sitting there...have no idea how it got here.
This is a fantastic model. The paint is beautiful, the weathering on panel lines that are on it perfect. In one word it is exquisite.
One can only imagine what is up next for this wonderful model. I think a good silicon mold will be a great tribute to joberg's work... I cannot wait to have a copy for myself. and then the model gets a trip back home to Canada. Thanks JB for the opportunity on this prop. I will be making casts of this wall-hanger for those interested...and a fine one it will be!
