I saw it. It's OK, but it in no way, to me, has the look and feel of Blade Runner. I only saw it once, though. To be fair I should see it again.

Based soley of Rick's recommendation I have placed this in my Blcckbuster Que and given it priority status.

Doppleganger, the pressure is on, your reputation as a movie critic is on the line.

I bought the DVD from ebay for $6 a few years ago, and I've watched it twice since. It's not the worst film ever made, not the best by a damn sight. But it has some fun stuff in it.

It has a few minor shots here and there that invoke a BR vibe. The cop eating noodles at a noodle bar in the rain. RAIN. umbrellas, neon. But mostly this is a cop versus military android shooting fest kinda flick. It's anime inspired so the guns are all huge and cool looking. The lead cops falls for an android who is dying too. It's certainly BR inspired.

It has mistakes. In one "face off" the lead character's gun changes from a silver revolver to silver airsoft semi auto (you can see the screw holes) in the same scene while he's pointing it in a bad guys face.

So I vote rental, it's definately a rental if you dig anime, and then decide foryourself if you wanna buy it.

I'm halfway through this flick, & I'm digging it OK. I wouldn't really compare it to Blade Runner, but I can see a couple of similarities: strong Asian influence, colonization of other worlds, & most notably: renegade synthetics.

Again, not even close to BR's league, but so far an enjoyable science-fiction film.

Finished it today. Not bad. That is to say, actually pretty good.

Definitely worth a look-see.

I bought it a long time back based on Noeland's recommendation--I enjoyed it as the popcorn flick it is. The police rifles are cool and it has a couple of beautiful Korean gals in it...what's not to like?
