No disrespect felt here John Wink I feel that you're the one that will push this prop as close as possible from the real one (according to the pics/info we have at the moment) and make it, finally, available to the fans. There's work to do, of course, to make it happen. But as you said, once the molds are done it's going to be easy to mold/produce the shells and from there to fit the electronics.
Any idea wich forms will take the VK options? i.e: fully operated, partially operated or static model?

Obviously , the first task is to rework and re-size the prop adding the features Nick photos revealed , then a main molding session carefully dismantelling the prop as we go. Once I get to the chassis, it's build up tiime adding all the electronics , The arm is the most expensive Item to make as it's built of two servos , one linnear acctuator and three controller boards to make it work, Next are the 'breathing' bellows and here I used my artistic license and have built it using a servo and a programmable controller to allow the breathing rate to be set . Next is the main monitor which is a 7" video photoframe with the video on SD cards mounted above it is the animated Green & Red LED display , the facia has the other Red LED display mounted close to the movable 'Pheremone' Sensor and two 3.5" video photoframe with custom videos also on SD cards. So initially the idea is to recreate the complete working prop and do a limited run . Since I'm making a set of shells a static prop is not difficult to do. Once I've got to that stage , I'll decide what I'll do - regarding other versions - for example I could use just ordinary photo frames running a series of still shots , which would bring the cost down , I could do a poseable Arm again reducing the cost significantly. In any event, I'll try to offer what's realistic - I will definitely produce a fully working version , and as I've been asked by some members here already a "kit set of shells" for those that want to build one themselves . I'm not going to offer an external case, as sourcing Haliburtons or similar of the right size , this side of the Pond is almost impossible But as I happen to have one , mine will be customised to match . I'm just finishing off the controller build for the 'breathing' servo and hopefully this weekend will take some shots of the components.

Guys, thanks to my good friend Paul Taglianetti, here's a couple more pictures of the original. Hopefully, they will help you in some small way, to achieve your goal. Merry Christmas.

As far as the first pic not working, I get it fine when clicking on the link, so I don't know what else I can do to correct this.

Is this the picture?...

I took the dash out of the 11 at the end. Not sure how it got there.

The picture only works if you take out the dash, 11 not 1-1

Nope...not working. But aside from that, we can see that the V.K. is a piece of complicated electronics for the screen time alloted to it in the movie: WOW Shocked Sure, it's a one of the main "character" in BR, but still a lot of work for a few minutes of fame.

Could that also be our case from the Rachael interrogation scene? Does anybody recognize that piece of equipment? It is going to take some time to figure out everything we are seeing in this pic, but BOY, does it provide a ton of new information, as well as questions.

Doesn't seems like the case...seems like he's checking the electronics, some kind of RC case, servo, etc. Maybe someone versed in that stuff (I'm no expert)could chime in.

I am not an expert either but it looks like he is programming an onboard eprom which is a programmable chip which can control sequences of movement.

Yes , that's probably what he's doing, note that he's also looking at a schematic , it certainly would be the way to go if you wanted exact syncro-servo control , I've used eprom controller boards to initiate my movements for the 'Arm & Eye' and 'bellows' so the actions are duplicated exactly as the filmed model. Unfortunately the weather situation here has me snowed in and I can't get into my garage workshop to do any more work for a week or so this means I haven't got the prototype finished yet .
