Well, well; actor Jake Gyllenhaal is coming to town in late March to film scenes for a science fiction movie titled " Source Code" with Director Duncan Jones. The budget is $35 million according to press reports. Sir Ben Kingsley is believed to be in the cast, but that wasn't confirmed by production staff. The Ottawa train station will figure prominently in the movie and was largely chosen because the architecture has a "modern, futuristic" look to it.
A production crew totalling more than 150 people will come to the city for at least 4 days of shooting in late March, and the whole film will be shot in Monteal. Built in 1966 by John B. Parkin, it won a Massey Medal by the Royal Architecture Institute.
Is this the new film by Duncan Jones? Is the title a way to confuse the press (as we know the title is "Mute") or the studio didn't like the title and changed it? All kind of questions I have...maybe someone has more info.
As for the "architecture" of the train station, it looks more like a hangar then a train station Confused

Well, it seems that Mute has been shelved and that Duncan is doing Source code instead...interesting story that reminds me of Moon and its concept and questions.
Since I live in Ottawa, I'll make sure to check the production and the shooting schedule.
