Thanks Stephen...it looks like an Avirex model/design like the one I had (I'll have to return to the vintage store in my neck of the wood to see if he has others I could transform Wink )

It has a Berman's & Nathans tag in it. They're a British outfit that has since changed to Angel's Fancy Dress, which on the surface appears to be a somewhat cheesy costume shop.

While that might be an offshoot of the old B&N this, below, is their main costumiers website. Far more in keeping with the theatrical traditions of B&N.

(BR link: They provided Adam Ant with the iconic Hussars jacket he's wearing on that poster)

Yep, it's a copy of the U.S. bomber jacket (I'm sure somebody with more experience could chime in...I think it's a WWII design) and by the look of it, the patches were glued on Confused ...that's one way of destroying leather.

Looks like a replica of the USAAF Type A-2 Summer leather flying jacket, alright. Good replicas are pricy! Of course, there are less expensive replicas available commercially.
Thanks for all the cool photos, Stephen; a really nice collection there of original props Mr. Burns has!

yes, WW2 style A2. The cuffs are more of a commercial style.
so who ever manufacutred WW2 style jackets in the late 70's would be a good place to start. As this is not military issue. it is missing the neck closure clasp that is found at the top of the zipper.
No side entry at the pockets either.
