This is good news. I was worried the site was going to fall to pieces before something could be done about it.
Those 12 public days a year will be busy ones I bet! _________________ Hollywood is the only industry, even taking in soup companies, which does not have laboratories for the purpose of experimentation.

It is also in the opening of Roland Emmerich's early film with Dean Devlin as an actor 'Moon 44'. It looks to have been shot on location too.
Also in Ridley's film 'Black Rain' IIRC

Ron Burkle is going to be a great owner for the Ennis House. He has deep pockets and has been a fantastic benefactor for the cause of architecture. He is an important and continuing donor to architectural related exhibitions at the Los Angeles Museum of Modern Art
He also did a very nice job of fixing up John Lautner's Elrod House in Palm Springs. And he was very generous then of allowing that house to be on architectural tours.
His restoration philosophy on Elrod seemed to be to do a series of smaller well-defined projects. Rather than tearing it all apart and trying to do everything at once. It will be interesting to see how he approaches Ennis.
Great news!
