Definitely in for both acrylic and alum. BTW, what is the rough estimate on the dimensions?

Hot off the mill, here is the aluminum prototype. Really tight surface finish and will be easy to polish out. The banding is an optical variation in the surface from the final planar milling pass. All in all im really pleased, and believe it or not its the first piece of aluminum i've cut with the mill.

Now to cut a few more...

Thanks! I'm pleased for sure. The machine time is murder but its so much better than any of the cast versions i've seen, and it just feels great, I like the weight and sound of it. Polishing will be the next thing to work out.

Thanks

A bit of micromesh and wow, I still want to polish one up to a mirror shine but I think this is the way its supposed to look, lightly brushed it just looks money!

Now if I just had the car to put it on...
