The snub parts are some leftovers Rick had from some years ago. I am not sure if has any more. It may have only been a test shot. It will need a lot of work to finish too. The spinner on the other hand is also going to have to wait untill my studio gets finished. The snub will more likely be done first. Along with several other guns I have waiting. I am actually looking for some cheap and cheesy kits to try some new ideas on first before I work on my best kits I picked up a Sgt Wilko cheap that may become a test subject. In the mean time I am looking for parts and other stuff to do some custom work too.

Hi Guys
Here are some pics of the screen used Umbrella, I also have a letter from Gene Winfield which states it appeared throughout the film and especially during the Deckard-Zhora chase scenes. It was the only one made with the rounded handle.

Cool! So those actors were walking around a soaking wet wet carrying neon tubes and HV supplies? Actors are among the bravest of the brave! Does the umbrella have a self-contained supply for the tube?

Hi Airhead
In actual fact although they were and are still called neon they are actually flourescent tubes not neon. They still need the inverter and batteries though and work at a slightly lower voltage, but you are right about them being brave. THe umbrella was well made though and the tube is actually inserted inside a outer glass tube with the exit wires well insulated. The batteries were 2 of 6v lantern types wired in series, and were quite bulky. The batteries and inverter are built into the base of the Umbrella display.

ridleyville - I noticed that PRS back there also - warning off-topic comment - sweet!

Back on track, I guess that during filming, the lantern batteries were strapped on to the actors somehow and connected by wires to the tube in the umbrella. It would have been enough to get their attention, if there had been a short!

And eltee - that's a nice collection. I've been following your Holden wallet/badge thread next door and think that it is working out well.

Wow! Excellent collections. Shocked

Eltee, in one of your shots you have what looks like a black, vac formed Ennis tile. Where did that come from??
I love the way it looks!

Got the tile from a friend, no history on it that I know of. I am thinking of having it redone in distressed aluminum at a local foundry I use for gun stuff.
