To Vader, due to high cost of international shipping. We can only offer $10 off the $120.00 Frame set.
We will try to look into other carrier that might have a lower rate. So every one can save on cost.
To prop members, our Frame Set is ready to ship now. We just got a few in from our CNC shop.
Feel free to ask us any questions if you have one.
Thanks!

Is there any change to buy pieces from the set instead of the whole thing? _________________ Good against remotes is one thing. Good against the living? That's something else.

Is the trigger guard metal too, and if so why is it painted black?

To Fangorn81, we currently are not selling the individual pieces. But if demand are high for one of the parts. We will produces it and sell as separate.
To prop members, we are looking at what other parts to make it metal?
We have a few ones on our list but would like your feedback. Please feel free to share.
Thank You

Ok, thanks. I'm really just looking for a machined aluminum buttplate, and I'd be putting it on a Sidkit anyway. Just thought I'd ask _________________ Good against remotes is one thing. Good against the living? That's something else.

OWM, it would appear that you're leaning in that direction anyway, so why not just go ahead and produce an all-metal version? After all, how many pieces are currently still non-metal? |

To Bwood, we would like to do a full metal version but the production cost for this would drive the price up for our blaster.
Our goal is to make it affordable for every one.
To rikarus,
Thank you, that is actually on top of our list but we have to see how well our frame will do.
Hint: "bolt, end cap and bolt lever"

well, I would only need a metal trigger guard, since I bought an upgraded blaster on the second market some weeks ago ( just wait for his arrival so.....) _________________ ~Stefan Jones |

I think its great that Off-World are doing the metal parts for their blaster, but i am really in two minds about buying one. The reason being, i have spray painted the trigger guard, gun metal colour, and i applied a scratched look to the butt, with grey paint in the grooves. It now looks to me the sort of gun Deckard would have, that his piece wouldnt be straight off the assembly line, and had probably been dropped a few hundred times. In the film itself, Leon smashes it out of his hand, and he drops it when trying to evade Roy.
I guess i like mine individual therefore, and if you dont like it looking brand spanking new, then do what i have done. Try and make the gun yours. Put your mark on it. I have done one or two other bits, and even made my own bullets. Off-World might still get my business though, but for the minute, i like my blaster a bit edgier _________________ He can breath okay, as long as no one unplugs him |

After a lot of deliberation i bought the metal set from Off-World. It was truly worth it, plus the Silver Upper Receiver i got from Kros180 on www.ebay.com (well worth getting).
I also spray painted one or two other pieces with gun metal paint, and now i have got the closest thing to a half decent blaster, given my skill limitations.
It may not be perfect, but for a UK BR fan, i now have the Blaster which i have kind of hoped for, when i first opened my Off-World box, and thought...mmmhhhh... _________________ He can breath okay, as long as no one unplugs him |

I caved in & bought the metal grip frame set for my Off-World too & I agree it makes a massive difference to the look & feel of the Blaster,
I'm also in the UK so my choices are a bit limited & on my budget the Off-World was the best I was gonna get, picked mine up on eBay like new for £100 so it seemed a bit steep to pay that much again for 3 bits of metal
Pleased with the result though, my only niggle is that my grips don't seem to sit perfectly flush with the frame but it's not really noticeable unless you stare at it.
I've also looked at the silver receivers but might stick with my black metal one for now, would love to see pictures of yours finished
I've got one of those Australian Resin PKD kits I've seen a few people on here build on its way & wondered if it would take a metal receiver?
Been on the RPF for a while but This is my first post here, figured after a year of lurking & reading it was time to get involved
this is a fantastic forum |
