|
|
Hi All
So over the last year I have realised my dream of owning a Blade Runner blaster, and now I have completed the same dream for my father.
Last year thanks to hirohawa, I managed to get hold of an in-expensive Australian blaster kit, which I started putting together in my evenings - all through January.
It took me just over a month to get it the way I wanted. Involved a lot of sanding, reshaping and careful planning, but the end result, I think, is fantastic, and I'm pretty sure my Dad is going to be gobsmacked
So without further intro, I enclose some pics for you all to see.
Bottom pic shows the other bit's I've acquired to accompany the blaster

Many thanks Baron
I agree with you, more people should give this kit a go. For the price, with time and effort this piece can really look good.
The only thing I underestimated was the cost of the paints and extras that I needed to get. But then, I was low on a few modelling essentials - I shall be putting them to good use on my next project |

Very good indeed! And the good thing also, being member of this board, is that later on you can improve your piece by getting these metals add-ons that other members are selling |

That is very nice present for your dad!
I have consider doing same, but my dad has sold most of his gun collection items. So BR-blaster would just end hidden and not displayed. |

It's a great thing you did for your dad. My son built me a blaster many years ago when any blaster was rare. Crude as it was, I will cherish it far above all the other blasters that have become available since. You do yourself proud. |

Just wanted to pop in again and say thanks for all the kind words guys
I thoroughly enjoyed building this blaster, and learnt a lot of new techniques in the process. |
