Oh no, that's so sad. I just sent him his personal Blade Runner ID card a couple of months ago. He sent me back a really nice handwritten thank you note in return.
God bless and RIP. |

Sad news at any age, but certainly unexpected. He contributed more to Blade Runner in its initial stages than many may realize. - R13 _________________ Gosh, you've really got some nice toys here . . . |

Mr. Paull was a great guy. He liked cops and wanted, in some regards, to be one. He was made an honorary cop in a number of places and once in a while did informal security (by packing a gun and badge) at celebrity events.
I was able to get him an honorary police officer badge and ID from my old agency, and here is a picture of him holding the Bladerunner badge and ID set I sent him for the 25th Anniversary of Bladerunner. He flew down to L.A. for that event.
For what it's worth, he told me that there WAS a badge in the ID wallet and that he had one although never screen seen. I asked specifically and he answered assertively.
Rest in Peace, Mr. Paull. |
