Hello all,
I'm a long time Blade Runner fan and have lurked in this forum from time to time.
I recently ordered the metal blaster kit from Mr. Coyle on the last possible day (which he graciously included me in, Thanks again). I'll be leaning on the experts here in building this marvellous kit for advice and whatnot.
I look forward to sharing with all of you.
Cheers.
P.S. Thanks to Amish for setting me up with an account. |

Welcome Ranna Ken, good score on the Coyle kit...remember, Rich is your main resource person concerning the built of this kit(he's the one who spent most of his blood sweat and tears making that kit)
Eager to see your built. |

Thanks for the greetings.
I'm really looking forward to my kit arriving. I can't wait to get started. I've always wanted one and almost went for the Tomenosuke that was on ebay when I saw Rich's post about last minute orders of the kit. I think I made the right choice. |

Hi everyone. I'm Christian from Luxembourg and collector of rare antiquities . Especialy props related to the Indiana Jones movies (Raiders of the Lost Ark, my number one movie of all time). But I'm also a big Star Wars fan (Han Solo, Boba Fett and blasters and lightsabers) and also like Resident Evil (the video games only).
Also, living in one of the world's smalest countries, I think I'm the only prop collector in my country...
Now, concerning Blade Runner, I like the movie, but I don't love it. I mean, I love the universe (big Philip K. Dick fan), how the film visualy looks, the Blaster, Rick Deckard, etc. But I'm not a big fan of the story...
It's the Blaster that brought me here. I think it's one of the nicest weapons of all the since-fi universes and so I recently got an Off World for almost nothing and now I want to convert it into something worth displaying alongst my other Blasters and Indy props. I already ordered the receiver and metal part kit from Off World.
And tried to contact some members here for some metal pieces to upgrade my Blaster (Barrel from mspaw, and Bolt and other pices from Oz) but with no luck... |

Thank you joberg. You told me you're from Brussels, right ? Funny because that's where I was born .
Now concerning the rare antiques, well I mean like Golden Idols, Holly Grails, Grail Diaries, etc. Mostly Indiana Jones stuff . |

Hi all, I'm Martin and I live in the South West of England. I have posted a couple of times in the Alien section but thought I should really say hello properly.
In "Real LifeTM" I was a sailmaker for 23 years before I decided to go off on my own. I had had enough of boats after that many years, both working on them and sailing them, so I started up my own small business making medieval tents for the historical re-enactment market. I also do (or rather, did) take part in such events and have had many a happy hour out on a battlefield, clad in armour and beating seven bells out of other like-minded nutters. Got to play with big cannons as well, so I was a very happy bunny.
I got back into model making about 4 years ago after I fell very ill and became pretty much housebound. It was one of my favourite hobbies as a kid and I only stopped when girls, pubs and parties got the better of my attention. At the moment I'm still very slow and erratic in my modelling efforts, due to the illness, but I hope to be able to do more as time goes by.
Recently I scored two sheets of plans, copies of originals used by the Aliens art department, showing the APC and the Jorden Tractor. My intention is to make them both at a decent scale, studio scale at least, but currently I'm trying to work up a set of plans at 1/20 scale for the Narc. After those three I would like to think I will be able to tackle the Nostromo and the Sulaco.
This site is just awesome and I was so chuffed to find so much info from such a keen bunch of like-minded fans, both on BR (one of my all time fav films) and Alien/s. Look forward to being on here at some point with some models to show.. _________________ I'd love to build big models, sadly I'd need to knock a few walls down first. |
