Hello happy Alien fans...

My first post to let you know here about my little project. After many months visiting and admiring the fantastic jobs of many talented people on Propsummit, I have decided to scratbuilt something myself, related to the fascinating Nostromo. The landing gear seems to be the perfect part for me as I really admire its design and appearances in the movie .This will be my first time on scratchbuilding so I think that cardboard and plastic are the most affordable and easy working supports for me even if average result. So please, consider it as an approximate model, because I feel unable to recreate the accuracy of the original version Confused
By the way, I am Fred from France and hope you will understand my english... (and thank you to Fred "SKIN JOB" for his help on inserting images in this first post)

Here are my first cuts on the first foot... ten time the same shape to create the thickness. Then detailing the top with smaller cardboard parts... and repeating three times for the others feet.

As reference, I use the Halcyon's landing gear and have increased five times the size for an expected 7" (18 cm) final model. Next week, I will work on plastic tubes and hope to get a good result to let you know Wink

Welcome Isnochys79...as one who built the landing gear also (approximative scale of the model used in the movie) I can only offer my encouragements and my experience. I'll be following this build closely, bon courage
