I just wondered if anybody had any answers to why Propsummit displays like this in iso 7?

Or is it just me?

I've had the same problem these last days...

I must say I'm VERY tired of all the problems we've had these last months... and I won't talk about the almost total lack of communication from our admin about this mess.

If it continues like that honestly guys I'm not sure I will stay here... Time will tell I guess.

I wouldn't say it's a problem...it's more like a ''shore-up" solution.
It seems that this page makes the old one more stable...I think, but then again, I'm not versed into web stuff that much Confused

And Fred, pleeeeaaaase don't leave Crying or Very sad

All part of the process of updating the BBS, from what I am told. The amount of work is massive and he is tackling it in chunks to fix, and back it all up. The version of the BBS you see there is the standard default setting. I think that is good news that we may be on a new more stable site now and may have some fresh stuff, but that is only my best guess. All I know is that we are still in the process of fixing the problems, and we didn't lose anything. I for one am grateful the whole site didn't go down the tubes. BTW I think you can change your own personal settings to view the site the way you are used to it if you go to your profile and change it to BBTech in board style.

Sorry guys, making some changes. I hope to stabilize the site as soon as I can, I know everyone is frustrated and you have every right to be frustrated, but I am doing what I can with very little time.

Unlike other prop forums, this site is not my life and provides zero income.

I keep this site running because I love this community. I apologize for the hiccups and issues we have had. Believe me, if it was easy, there would be no issues. I know the past month, the site has gone down two times, after each down time it was up within 24 hours. I am working on fixing this and ask for patience.

Until I get all the issues ironed out, the site will like clockwork go down every two weeks on a Friday. I know it sounds strange, but this is because of the host and updates they have made to the server requiring me to update the coding of the site.

Please stay with us and do not get discouraged.

Thanks,

Tom

Thanks Tom, we appreciate the work you're putting into it, and with another child, life must be full.

Tom thanks for your explanations. It is appreciated.

Just to say that when I logged into Propsummit on iOS 7 I was greeted with the usual Propsummit graphics. When I posted before I hadn't actually logged in. I was so in shock!

Also I can't get used to iOS 7, which doesn't help!

I've found now that Propsummit is displaying strangely in iOS 6 on another device I have. But a quick refresh seems to sort it out.

All part of the upgrades I suspect.

Thank you Tom for the good news, it's great to finally hear from you !!!

Thank you also for your hard work and the time devoted to fix everything... loosing this place would be hard to handle, and I don't think I just talk for myself here.

Talk soon ! (PM answered, BTW)

Minor upgrades are slow, I am thinking of a complete reboot, but do not want to lose the look and feel that we all are used to here.

If I reboot and do a complete update, how pissed off would everyone be at really changing the look and feel we have here.... I would do my best to keep it similar, but things would ultimately change and I could not control it all.

Please know, I am not talking about giant banners, ads, and intrusive pop-ups being injected, but new phpbb forums are a bit different now and I do not want to scare anyone.

What does everyone think?

I will get some input here and then break this off into a bigger discussion on its own.

Thanks!

Tom

I don't mind the changes if it stays the same!
Kidding Tom...I didn't mind the main phpbb page, since it got me where I wanted to be in the first place.
As for the format, I hope we'll keep pretty much everything in here and also that we wont loose any"precious photos" Wink

Same as JB... If at least we could keep the dark background and white letters it would be great... and, more important, all texts + photos !

Thank you again Tom !

Ok, some tuff requests, I will look into building it as best as I can, this will take time, but I should be able to use all the same graphics.

Thanks everyone , please keep input coming.
