I dont see it that way. Despite the obvious constraints imposed by head office it proved to be a great mix of future and more familiar crime and the Beauty Killer episode was worthy of a
Twilight Zone plotline.

There are some areas that need attention only a series with two or three seasons in the bank already get to address properly such as character development etc.
If allowed to go on and given some breathing room from the suits , it should improve even further.

I agree with the gist of your points but the trajectory of every JJ project is losing not gaining steam as the seasons proceed. Comedies dont 't need a few seasons to get funny - why should Sci fi need time to get better?

I also think great shows have these issues worked out within the first three episodes everything from Gilligan's Island to Breaking Bad has a clearly laid out path and pathos for it's characters.

Everything I have seen in Almost Human has been done and done way way better by others. To me brings nothing new or innovative to Sci Fi or Cop Drama. Look at the well earned buzz True Detective is getting for example.

Unfortunately, until we see either the black or white smoke rise from the Fox
Network chimney, its all academic. Fingers crossed we can pick it up again next season.

I like this show. I even think it's good that it didn't end on a cliffhanger like so many cancelled shows do. Hoping fans or execs will want to give resolution during a future season. Even though things weren't resolved in the end. The two main characters going off on another job was a good way to end the season.

The longer the non decision goes on the worse it looks for the show`s future but where there`s life, there`s hope so keep your fingers crossed PoliMan. At least Continuum got a third season.

Ya know, the little KAOS agent in my head would try and squeeze in the DNA Bomb to that list. Fantastic concept and they made it look magic on screen.

I just watched the four last episodes in a row, and I really enjoyed the show. Got a BIG smile on my face when I saw that the set for the final scene of the final episode was so much like Deckard's sushi bar.
Yes, I would like to go there again for a second season.

Hopefully they can get a better budget for some of the sets/props/CGI effects.

Yes, that's what I would wish for them, too. Though they did the best they could, I suppose, sometimes it felt strangely claustrophobic. Especially after we were introduced to "the wall".

All the money in the world does not matter if the person steering the ship has no eye for design or imagination.

True that Hirohawa...but it would be odd to have an entire team, from the Director, the AD, the DP, the production people as a whole with no ideas or refs of what look they want to achieve Confused And since they probably saw BR, I think that a little push could be a good thing Wink

Not sure what you guy`s are watching but the high production values are a major part of why I really dig this show. The CGI for a television production are fairly seamless and crisp and the props are superb. The world in which its set is just as interesting and eclectic as Los Angeles circa 2019, only cleaner. Wink

The studio will have to make a decision fairly soon you would think, Karl Urban must be a wanted man for other projects.

I think copying Blade Runner has been done a few dozen times and better than this. It's like Brittany Spears covering "I love Rock and Roll" when in fact she does not rock in any way as Joan Jett did.

This is just lazy and makes me think of the far superior Movie and Actor:

This looks like a still from a regular cop show from the 80's.

This looks like a show about an airport

This looks like a USC student film

And the casting outside of Karl Urban is not very good.

Their budget must be in the low end of a million $/per episode. While some stories are good, others would benefit from more extra sets/props, etc because sometimes I found the prod value lacking in quite a few aspects of the series; hence, my wish for more money Wink

Season two looks pretty much locked in. Cool

Although I don't see many of them, the criticisms levelled at the show`s first season can hopefully be addressed as Id like to see it cruise to at least a five season run.

This lame horse has been mercifully put down after one season.

http://www.imdb.com/news/ni57139088/

Thank god that no one associated with this poorly realized flop will be doing any significant sci-fi projects in the future You know like the most popular Sci Fi Franchise of all time.
