The circle in the center is 30mm, if I remember correctly. I'll also measure my eltree badge, just in case.
Also, the medallion in the center is a found part...it's from these belt buckles that you can put your picture or a coin in.
To be honest, I prefer a one-piece badge rather than having to disassemble the badge to install a new picture...less work, lol. |

The dimensions for eltree's badge is 4 1/8" H x 3 1/8" W (at it highest and widest points). |

hopefully in August I will get the final version 3d print done. I've got all the mold making kit etc. Though the metal casting will be the big hurdle in all this. _________________ "F*ck it, it's just a movie. Let him worry about it" Harrison Ford |

Wow! Time flys! I'm going to try to print this out at work in the week. Then its the nightmare task of casting it in metal. I also wanted to cast a full size version as I have an original picture ring to fit on it. _________________ "F*ck it, it's just a movie. Let him worry about it" Harrison Ford |

The best world would be to do it with the picture ring not on it so you could either buy the picture ring or cast it alone.
Then people could add their own pictures to it.
I might be interested in trying to cast it in pewter.
I think I would be best if I got a couple of plastic copies and then make either a hand poured molds OR have a spin cast mold made.
The spin cast mold might hold two to four units.

The wallet size version would be the only version with the ring included. The printer at work is a bit rubbish so might have to go with shapeways.
Rich, sounds good to me, you're much better at metal casting than I am I will see if I can get a copy sent to you. _________________ "F*ck it, it's just a movie. Let him worry about it" Harrison Ford |

I have my original molds, my original sculpts, etc. for the large badge. The badge and ring are separate and the "gorget" piece (says "POLICE 995") is a cast of its own. I went through two metalsmiths, both jewelers, for my large and wallet badges. If you are interested in casting, my sculpts and molds are in decent shape. The jeweler used a lost wax casting method so the molds are of a soft material. |

Yes I would and thank you.
I have the other one and with a little work can set up to do them as well.

Welcome to Propsummit PoD...as you can see, it's a work in progress.
I'm sure the other members involved will chime in and give us some news on that WIP. |

Hey folks, once I get the card project done and dusted I'll be back onto my other projects including this one. Got a 3d print done at work, though the printer is not too good so hopefully we'll be getting a better one in soon _________________ "F*ck it, it's just a movie. So getting this printed at work overnight on our new resin printer. Also we have acquired a laser cutting machine that cuts acrylic, so perfect for the picture window inserts. If I do a run of these I will include a picture of Deckard to go inside. _________________ "F*ck it, it's just a movie. Let him worry about it" Harrison Ford |
