I broke down and replaced my p.o.s. Olympus 2.5 mp with a Canon SD600 6 mp camera. I know, I know, it's not exactly state of the art, what with 10 mp cameras out there. But it was an after-Christmas bargain, and the difference in picture quality between the two cameras is astounding. After much trial and error, I finally updated the photos of my collection:

Before you scoff too much at the quality of the pictures, bear in mind that I did not use a flash and I am essentially stuck with the existing recessed lighting of the room and the settings of my new camera. I set the ISO at 80 for the sharpest image quality (using a tripod and timer of course), kept the exposure compensation at 0, set the image quality to the highest setting, set the white balance for indoor lighting, and only did the most minimal tweaks in Photoshop Elements.

Personally, I'm thrilled with the results, and I know that once I start taking beauty shots of each prop in the light box, I'm going to rock.

Let me know what you think.

Very nice. I can't wait to see more photos up on your site. I am looking for a new camera myself. Will be shopping for them tomorrow.

Did someone say they needed more props?

Can I get an "AY-MEN" to that my brothers and sisters?

Hehe - just gives me an excuse to show off some more stuff...

Edited 11/18 (moved to "Other Props")
