The silver version was never officially released, but one was made for Tomenouske manager Shinji Nakako by gunsmith Nobutaka Toku.

Its an absolute beauty and one I've admired since I saw the first Tomenosuke prototype a few years ago
I built this one about a year ago modelled on the original prototype which was slightly different to Shinji Nakako's stunning version.
Regards

My Pewter model can be polished to this finish and I can make clear grips as well...

It's a replica - a avery well crafted one - but not "the" one. |

Both are Sidkits, you can tell by the fact that each has MY old version of 6 Philips head screws holding the pistol grip to the pistol frame under the grip.
I did that before we learned what was really there AND to make a stronger mounting when I was making the model out of plastic which is weaker than metal.
This use of 6 screws is a mistake (in accuracy) and a "tell".

Staar (Mark) Tried the look of the real one that was sold in the auction (including label) and he did a damn good job |

Question: I am leaning towards doing my own silver version, which way do you think I should go??
All black painted parts still black or unpainted and silver as well, leaving only the ammo housing black?
After when you get a Nickle Plated gun it is ALL silver.

I say all SIlver.
How does the Nickel plating work on these Non Ferrous metals. Is it electroless?
Thanks |

I can get them nickle plated but in this case I will just sand and polish them.
I use the nickle plating as a idea of how things can look.

It would be awesome to see an all chrome blaster with a pearlescent grip... No black parts at all....
Kind of like this....

Again, with all of the variations possible, this gun keeps on giving.
I would go with the whole chrome scheme Rich
As for mother-of-pearl grips, that could be cool also Anders! |

Thanks for your kind comments Buch.
The silver blaster I built (its since been converted into a "Just Issued" version), was modelled on the prototype Tomenosuke blaster which had a satin finish. I have to admit that this polished version is far more striking and if I was to make it again, I would opt for this finish over the original.
I know the new owner of the hero prop so its got a special significance to me and that's why I was keen to replicate the original Worldcon so closely. I unfortunately haven't had an opportunity to get across to the hero blaster as yet, but I will do so as soon as time permits.
Rich is correct, both blasters are Sidkits. If anyone is interested in how I achieved the finish, I have a web portal here: http://www.markraats.com/PKD_Build/index.htm
Kind regards
