Hello all, new to the forum here and happy to be aboard. I'm interested in some feedback on the off world blasters. From what I've seen and read they seem to be a decent buy for the price. However, I'd like to hear back from those who have purchased and have had in hand this particular blaster. Please tell me what you think about them, or if I should just hold out(save) for something along the lines of a tomenosuke. Thanks again all. _________________ The old blade runner magic |

The OWM is a very good Blaster. For the price it is a great addition to the collection it is just slightly smaller in some aspects as the base for it is a .38 Charter instead of a .44 Charter which is a taller revolver.
So it is like a 10/11 scale blaster. Everything is just slightly smaller than it should be. i.e. cylinder covers and grip length. The nice thing is you can swap out real Charter Arms .38 parts to give the sucker some much needed heft. Also OWM themselves continue to offer metal upgrade parts too.
The Tomenosuke is a work of art and is neck and neck with the Coyle as the most accurate of all Blasters. But is nearly 3X the price for the assembled model.
If you are skilled at building and painting by a Tomenusuke kit and build it up.
After all you can't have just one Blade Runner blaster - that would be insane.

Awsome man, thank you. Really helpful remarks. I think I'm going to do the off word first. Paint/weather it, get my painting and model making skills up a bit before making that bigger Tomenosuke purchase. _________________ The old blade runner magic |

Hello, my name is Noeland and I have been addicted to blade runner blasters for . . . 15 years? Maybe longer.
Welcome to the club M2400.
I don't own an off world, but it tempts me often. They offer some metal replacement parts too, that seem pretty well made.
You will find resin, metal, PVC, even paper blasters getting made.
Make sure to share photos with us once you get the collection rolling. You will also find that there are many paper props that look great on a shelf next to your blasters. _________________ I don't have enough blasters! |

Does anyone know the story on the .38 vs .45 mix up?
Was it an actual mistake on the part of the manufacturer when planning their project or a conscious decision for some bizarre reason? |

So I ended going ahead and purchasing the off world metal deluxe version off ebay. It was a pretty penny considering how much they've gone up in price. But I figured you gotta start somewhere right? Once it gets here I'm sure im going to do some modifications here and there. I'll be sure to post pictures of before and after shots and would appreciate hearing back from you all. _________________ The old blade runner magic |

Got my blaster in and after giving it some weathering/wear n' tear details I took some pictures. Only to find I can't seem to figure out how to post the images. Bit slow when it comes to computers, needless to say. Can someone give me a quick outline on what to do? _________________ The old blade runner magic |

You weren't kidding about the "beat up look" ...still looking good.
I prefer a more "taking care of my weapon look" but to each its own.
As you said, if later you want to improve/transform it down the line... |

They were coping the Hartford model which was made using a working cap firing and air soft 38 Special model that they bought so they could do a cap firing and air soft working models as there was NO Bulldog 44 model.
